To Fly or Not to Fly? I shall post what my own Amityville Horror looked like Monday night but I will ease into it for your sake. Below is a shot of my Heywood Wakefield end table with fresh Calla Lillies from my garden. Aaaah. Isn't it soothing??? So loverly.
If dead flies turn you off however, I heartily encourage you to stay focused on the calla lillies and go no further.
No.
Really.
Enjoy the flowers.
Feel the calm of the glow of the table lamp.
And if you do decide to look, don't do it while eating. In fact, don't do it while you're anywhere near food. Ok?
For those of you of heartier stock... Yesterday was the worst, I was hoping the contractor would come over and take care of it all. But he's busy and can't come by for another couple of weeks. WHAT? I can't wait that long!... I am raising my Girlie White Flag and state for the record that I need help to cover this shit up. Who knows how to cover this hole? Until then, I had to suck it up and clean up the flies. gggGGaaa.
It was horrible.
I squealed like a silly little girl.
*scurries away with a case of the heebie jeebies*

Hi Ro,
Two options to "fix the hole where the flies come in".
Option #1 low tech - After you strip away the tape, spray insecticide in the electrical box and cover the whole thing with a large square of Contact Paper. It may or may not keep out the flies, but at least you won't need to look at them.
Option #2 medium tech - Measure the dimensions of the box, go to a hardware store and buy a "cover plate" to fit, which will screw into the threaded holes already there.
Good Luck
Gene
